Delaware County Historical Society (DCHS) is housed in the historic National Bank building, located in Chester, Delaware County, between City Hall and the 1724 Chester Courthouse, the oldest public building in continuous use in the United States.

As the preeminent historical society of Delaware County, it represents the collective history of the entire county. Delaware County Historical Society remains true to its original mission from 1895, “To collect, protect and preserve the history and culture of Delaware County and make it accessible through strong educational outreach.”

All ages from young children to seniors will enjoy a visit to Delaware County Historical Society, which houses a Research Library and Museum Gallery.

Currently DCHS is closed to the public but is still open for research appointments. For more information, please email dchs.pa@gmail.com or call 610-359-0832.
