"First Encounter" at Neumann University
DCHS Executive Director, Laurie J. Grant, introduced Ms. Jennifer Nicole Campbell of Delaware County for her solo piano recital titled "First Encounter," at Neumann University as part of our partnership with Delaware County Symphony. Jennifer has performed at notable halls including Lincoln Center, the Academy of Music in Philadelphia, the Grand Opera House in Delaware, and the Musikhauset Aarhus in Denmark among others.

Delaware County Symphony Orchestra Concert
As a kick-off event to DelcoArts week, the Delaware County Symphony held a special concert on September 22, 2019 to celebrate Delaware County’s wealth of arts and history. Ms. Jennifer Nicole Campbell, a classically trained full time pianist and composer, performed the World Premiere of her new original piano composition titled "The Four Seasons of Delaware County". This new and unique classical composition was specifically composed to celebrate the experience and history of Delaware County. The work captures the mood and emotional ambiance of living and experiencing the Four Seasons in Delaware County. The original score was signed by Ms. Campbell and presented on stage to Delaware County Historical Society’s executive director, Ms. Laurie Grant and Board Chair, Mr. Thomas Grubbs to be preserved and archived in the DCHS collection for future generations.

An Evening With Author Patrick Parr
Special Guest author Patric Parr joined DCHS to speak about his book, The Seminarian, a biography on Martin Luther King Jr. which chronicles King's three years as a seminary student at Crozer Theological Seminary in Chester, PA from 1948-1951.
